This month’s coaching and mentoring community of practice workshop utilised experiential process to unpack the insights and learnings around the Archetypal Leadership model, particularly in terms of the Warrior archetype and the setting of boundaries. One of the core functions of the Warrior archetype in our psychology is to vigorously set and maintain boundaries, in order to protect us. When we are aligned with the white Warrior, we act out of duty and in service to our higher order values and vision and sometimes clean anger is required. When we are out of alignment with this and our Shadow Warrior comes to the fore, we can strike out at others, physically, verbally and energetically, simply because we have the power.
The workshop was a great opportunity to stretch and explore the boundaries of our thinking, particularly in terms of our reactions and responses to aggression, anger, boundaries and how we communicate these.
