Goals for the community project meeting were to: build on an emerging vision of local organisations, local area collaboration, asset building and innovative investment strategy development; discuss the concept of Community Hub Precinct development to be located in Sandgate; identify the different commitments that could be made by those present with a view to moving forward in assessing the feasibility of this vision; establish some agreements in relation to an overarching Project Brief; establish immediate and short term tasks; outline a plan of priority actions.
The outcome of the facilitated meeting was the development of a vision statement for the project, seven key strategies organised in logical and chronological sequence, along with immediate action items and relevant action officers.
